Our Impact
Vietnam's waste problem is large. The market opportunity is larger. ARC-V addresses both.
Every tonne diverted is a measurable win
Landfilled waste generates methane, a greenhouse gas 80 times more potent than CO2 over 20 years. Incineration produces dioxins, heavy metals, and CO2. The ARC Process produces neither.
1.2
tCO2e avoided
per tonne diverted from landfill
Based on IPCC landfill methane emission factors. Each tonne of MSW processed by ARC-V avoids approximately 1.2 tonnes of CO2-equivalent greenhouse gas emissions.
0%
landfill
waste from ARC-V processed material
The ARC Process is designed for total material recovery. No fraction of the input waste stream is sent to landfill. This is a design constraint, not a target.
0
incineration
no combustion in the ARC Process
SynCoal production uses thermal conversion at controlled temperatures, not open combustion. No stack emissions. No dioxins. No ash residue requiring disposal.
500
green jobs
per full-scale 3,000 TPD facility
Each full-scale ARC-V facility creates approximately 500 jobs in waste processing, bioprocessing, product handling, and logistics in the communities that generate the waste.
What existing solutions cannot do
Organic-focused systems like composting and BSF handle food waste. Inorganic systems like RDF and incineration handle plastics. Neither eliminates landfill. Neither produces zero emissions. ARC-V is the complete system.
A $10 billion problem with no current solution
Vietnam's non-recyclable municipal solid waste market is projected to reach $10 billion by 2034. Today, it is almost entirely unaddressed. ARC-V is positioned to serve it.
MSW generated nationally
75,000
t/day
Vietnam is one of the fastest-growing MSW markets in Southeast Asia. Current infrastructure processes less than 15% of this volume.
Non-recyclable MSW market
$10B
by 2034
The non-recyclable fraction represents the largest share of the market. It is also the fraction the ARC Process is designed to convert.
Direct competitors in Vietnam
0
operators
No operator in Vietnam currently offers zero-landfill, zero-incineration total MSW processing at scale.
From pilot to national scale
ARC-V's growth path follows a proven model: establish operational credibility at pilot scale, then replicate across provinces.
